We designed a large-scale wall graphic that stretched across the entire rear section of the Space Gallery. The design paid close attention to detail, working around the wall’s physical features to make sure everything lined up perfectly. To keep visitors entertained, animations are projected seamlessly into spaces within the design, and a series of tongue-in-cheek “warning” posters were scattered throughout the space.

| Description | We redesigned the Space Gallery, an immersive exhibition at We The Curious, Bristol’s iconic science experience. The exhibition presents information about space science while also serving as a gateway into the Planetarium. We developed a unifying style for the whole experience, which included a suite of interpretation panels, wall graphics, signage, and a series of animations that we projection-mapped onto the walls. The design was driven by a central concept of the gallery as a research station orbiting the Earth. |

Large scale wall graphics that continue the theme
We designed a series of wall-mounted and free-standing interpretation panels, tailoring our layouts to fit exhibits of varying shapes and sizes. To deliver a striking, high-contrast display, the panels were backlit and treated with a “black-out” ink that selectively blocked light to make the key information stand out.
We produced and animated a series of motion graphics that were projected straight onto the back wall, they were designed to look like a giant viewing window into space. We storyboarded each animation to match the themes of specific planetarium shows, including one starring a mischievous alien named Blurgle Wurgle.
